So, I have a new nickname...again. Granted, my humans are nick-name sort of people. They have about 5,000 for everyone they know. I think it has something to do with the names 'the Boys' come up with or say things (like Z couldn't say Meredith...so he said Mereniff). My newest one is Niffy, which is cute I guess, for a nickname, but sometimes I just get confused. ANywho...I wrote a little song to tell everyone how I feel about this crazy nickname issue...Wrote a song about it...Wanna hear it...Here it go...
They call me Mer, They call me Mer-naise,
They call me Nif, They call me Good Girl.
Thats not my name. Thats not my name. Thats not my name. Thats not my name!
They call me Merri, They call me Meri-James,
Meri-Jo-Lisa, and Mer-o-Nish
Thats not my name. Thats not my name. Thats not my name. Thats not my name!
Are you calling me Niffy?
Thats not my name Thats not my name Thats not my name Thats not my name!
Well, probably won't hear it on the radio anytime soon (or ever), but I was surprised the other day when I heard that someone had stolen my song and changed the lyrics just a bit. Can you BELIEVE that??? I think they are called like TingTing, which sounds like something I do when I go out, but they have actually gotten the thing on the radio, which, I guess, is the closest I will ever come. Anyway... Check it out and see what you think...
Hi Meredith,
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean! My mom has a few names for me. I just pretend I have no clue and give her that look, "Oh were you talking to me?" BOL

Hey Meredith, you had my mom BOL with your song! We just got back from a road trip and she must've heard that IMPOSTER's song about 10 times on the radio! We like your version a LOT better :-)
ReplyDeleteI have some nicknames too, given by my human siblings: Dony (pronounced "doh-nee"), Dohn-Dohn and Pup Pup.
Your pal,
Sedona
